first blog - all about my senior pictures!
Highly requested by my family, friends, and people on Instagram, I have decided to start my own blog. Since I am a senior and I had the most amazing senior picture session, I figured I would make my first blog post all about senior pictures.
I had my senior pictures taken by Suzanne Deaton in Hazard, Kentucky back in June. I booked my session with her a long time in advance, but a week before the date, I still had no clue what I wanted my senior pictures to look like. I had been searching Pinterest for hours, but nothing struck me. I decided my best option would be to take as many of my favorite outfits as possible and just go with it. It turned out to be the best option.
The thing is, you do not have to know exactly what you want your senior pictures to look like. I had no vision and no plan, just a few inspiration shots from my Pinterest board to guide us.
I'm going to share some of my favorite pictures from my session and what I am wearing.
Above: I am wearing a denim shirt I stole from my mom's closet. I think Ralph Lauren purchased from Goodwill (probably $3). My skort is J.Crew purchased at Goodwill as well (around $3). Also a Bourbon and Boweties bracelet (around $35).
Above: I am not sure where the hat came from, stole it from my mom as well. The sunglasses are Tory Burch, purchased at my local eye doctor (around $150). The fur jacket was found at the Salvation Army for free.
Above: This fur jacket is Mossimo, found at Salvation Army for free.
Above: My dress is from the clearance rack at Zara Washington D.C. (probably around $15)
Above: My shirt and shorts are both from J.Crew in the spotted cheetah print. I bought the shorts from J.Crew's website and then found the matching shirt a year later at Goodwill.
Above: My jeans are from J.Crew, but my shirt is stolen from mom's closet again.
As you can see, I was not totally coordinated before my senior picture session, but they turned out so well. I think my uncoordinated looks made my shoot so great. If you are a senior and you have no clue how or where you want your senior pictures taken, don't panic. Just look at Pinterest and go to Goodwill.
